The 1920’s have brought fortune, jazz and good times to everyone in the country. Tonight, October 25, 1929, J. D. Rhodes, owner of the speakeasy “Le Reve”, is hosting a celebration to honor Arthur B. Pennypinch, the man who has been called “Mr. Stock Market”. The guest list for tonight’s gala includes some of the most famous people of the time, from star of the silver screen Marlena Dubois to the prominent socialite Milan Marriot. But you never know who is going to show up with such a long “A-list” of invitees. The good times are rolling and happy days are here again, that is until Arthur B. Pennypinch is murdered. With the news of a 10 billion dollar loss at the Stock Market headlining the papers, it’s anyone’s guess who would have committed the murder. |
